According to Vi Khe people, the love for ornamental plants has been deeply ingrained in their blood and flesh, preserved and passed down through many generations. Thanks to the attachment and development from the profession, many garden owners have appeared here owning ornamental plant gardens worth tens, even hundreds of billions of VND.



As one of the highly skilled artisans in Vi Khe village, Mr. Nguyen Cong Khanh (born in 1972) currently owns a garden with more than 200 large and small ornamental plant works, with a total value of up to tens of billions of VND.
Mr. Khanh said: "Born in a craft village, my family has a tradition of making ornamental plants for many generations, so from a young age I was taught by my father to prune and create ornamental plants. Then, at the age of 14, I and many young people in the village roamed motorbikes carrying plants to sell on the streets of the capital. Loving the profession, I have also been attached to it until now. My fortune now is more than 200 works of large and small plants, shaped. Depending on each plant, I sell at different prices.





Also a person who inherited the traditional craft of his family, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoat (born in 1980) in Vi Khe village is owning a garden of 7,000m2, with more than 1,000 large and small trees, with a total value of more than 100 billion VND.
To make craft village products reach further, bring faster and higher income, besides traditional ornamental plants, many people have expanded to make construction plants. In the garden of more than 20,000m2 of Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan's family (born in 1982), there are a variety of flower plants priced at tens of thousands to unique art ornamental plants worth billions of VND, of which the main ones are Nam Dien bonsai and La Han pine.
From a purely agricultural village, Vi Khe today has risen to become a ornamental plant capital with orchards worth tens or hundreds of billions of VND. Not only bringing high income, the ornamental plant profession also contributes to preserving the beauty of traditional culture, affirming the position of the craft village on the national ornamental creature map.
