In mid-August, at the construction site of the poor apatite ore processing plant in Cam Duong ward, the final items are being urgently completed to prepare for the trial operation phase.
The project has a total investment of nearly 500 billion VND, expected to be energized, operated without load and test run in the fourth quarter of 2026.
This is a deep mineral processing project expected to improve the efficiency of using poor apatite ore sources, creating more value-added products and contributing to industrial growth of Lao Cai.

Information from Anh Nhan Lao Cai Co., Ltd. (the investor), so far many important items of the factory have been basically completed.
The technology line including the dam, grinding, grading, floating and concentrating stages is being completed, in which many equipment items have reached 100% of the volume.
Electricity, water supply, technical infrastructure and auxiliary works are also being deployed synchronously.
Construction units focus manpower, machinery and equipment to complete the remaining parts, creating conditions to move to the energizing and trial run phase.

Through records at the construction site, some items are still being completed, notably the concentrate ore refinery, waste ore screening - squeezing factory, electrical system and automatic control.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, along with accelerating the construction progress, the investor needs to complete the project quality management dossiers and related legal procedures before putting the factory into operation.
Anh Nhan Lao Cai Co., Ltd. is coordinating with functional agencies to complete procedures on environment, land, water supply, fire prevention and fighting, construction acceptance, equipment quality inspection and other necessary conditions.

According to the plan, the enterprise strives to complete the conditions for energizing, uncharged operation and trial run of the plant in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Right in this phase, the project aims to produce at least 30,000 tons of apatite concentrate, with a revenue of about 75 billion VND.
When operating stably, the plant has a designed capacity of 200,000 tons of apatite concentrate/year, expected revenue of about 600 billion VND/year and contribution to the state budget of over 100 billion VND/year.
The project also plans to create stable jobs for about 120 workers in the locality.

With the selection and processing of poor apatite ore into concentrate ore, the project is expected to contribute to improving the efficiency of mineral resource use in Lao Cai, increasing the value of industrial production and creating additional revenue for the budget.
The factory's preparation to enter the trial run phase also marks another step in the province's orientation to promote deep mineral processing, gradually increasing the value of the apatite resource instead of just stopping at the exploitation stage.
