The Lang Phung type III apatite ore processing plant project is invested by Tam Dinh Lao Cai Apatite Investment Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of over 800 billion VND and a designed capacity of 250,000 tons of apatite concentrate/year.
According to records at the construction site, many main items of the factory have been basically completed.
Areas serving the production line are being completed in the final stages, preparing for the trial run and equipment adjustment process.
The fact that the plant is eligible for trial run from August 6 marks an important shift of the project from the construction phase to trial operation.

This is also the basis for the investor to continue to complete the remaining items, aiming to put the plant into official operation in the third quarter of 2026.
In the process of implementation, the project still has some difficulties that need to be focused on handling. Prolonged rainy weather affects the construction progress of the tailings lake; the road surface to the factory is not completed.
Along with that, site clearance for the mining area is being continued to ensure a stable source of raw materials for the factory during its long-term operation.
The investor and construction units are mobilizing manpower and equipment to complete the remaining items.

When put into operation, the factory is expected to increase the value of deep processing of apatite ore, creating a stable source of raw materials for the chemical and fertilizer industry.
The project also opens up room for development in the fields of transportation, mechanics, commerce, and services, creating more jobs and contributing to local budget revenue.
For Van Ban commune, a large-scale industrial project put into operation is expected to create more motivation to attract investment, expand economic development space, and at the same time form a spillover effect on supporting industries and services.

According to Mr. Vu Xuan Thuy - Chairman of Van Ban Commune People's Committee, the locality determines that the early operation of industrial projects will create more motivation for economic development, job expansion and promote service industries in the area.
Therefore, the commune will continue to coordinate with the investor and specialized agencies of the province to remove arising difficulties and obstacles, especially in site clearance and ensuring conditions to serve the long-term operation of the factory.
Leaders of Van Ban commune believe that when Lang Phung Apatite ore processing plant comes into stable operation, the economic efficiency of the project will not only lie in ore processing activities but also create spillover effects to transportation, mechanics, commerce, services and jobs for local people.

This is also considered one of the driving forces contributing to the implementation of the goal of industrial development, attracting investment and expanding the commune's economic space in the coming time.
With the current progress, Lang Phung Apatite ore processing plant is entering the final stage before official operation.
The project is expected to become one of the new driving forces for industrial development, deep mineral processing and socio-economic development in Van Ban.
