On July 11, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that in the first 6 months of 2026, the whole province had 1,991 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of 16,200 billion VND, an increase of 34.53% in quantity but a decrease of 28.92% in registered capital compared to the same period last year. In the same period, 442 enterprises returned to operation, an increase of 29.62%.
In the opposite direction, the whole province recorded 428 dissolved businesses, an increase of 98.1%; 1,209 businesses temporarily suspended business, an increase of 12.3% compared to the same period in 2025. In addition, there are 255 cooperatives ceasing operations.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, gross regional domestic product (GRDP, comparable prices in 2020) in the first 6 months of 2026 is estimated to reach 79,499.8 billion VND, an increase of 7.84% compared to the same period but still has not reached the set growth scenario.

Faced with this reality, Mr. Pham Dong Thanh - Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial Business Association, Director of An Phuoc Automobile Transport Co., Ltd. - said that to achieve the double-digit economic growth target in 2026, the important thing is not slogans or commitments, but the implementation of specific, practical and measurable solutions.
From the perspective of the business community, the Provincial Business Association proposes to build the "Business Development Accompanying Program", which establishes a Business Development Accompanying Group with the participation of departments, branches, localities, credit institutions and business associations.
This working group will focus on three key tasks: supporting businesses to expand production, accompanying businesses facing difficulties to restore operations, and supporting business households that meet the conditions to transform into businesses.
According to the Association, maintaining the existing business force, supporting business recovery and promoting the establishment of new businesses will contribute to expanding the growth momentum for the local economy.
Another solution proposed by the Association is to shorten the time to put investment projects into operation.
According to Mr. Thanh, each slow-progressing project not only increases costs for businesses but also affects job creation, increased budget revenue and contribution to GRDP growth.
To overcome this, the Association proposes to strengthen the inter-agency coordination mechanism in resolving investment procedures; assign officials to monitor throughout each project and build a digital system to monitor the progress of dossier processing. The goal is to shorten the investment preparation time by 30-50% for eligible projects.
In addition, the Provincial Business Association is implementing the "Business Member Linkage" Program, focusing on building a digital database, strengthening connections between businesses by industry, supporting improving management capacity, digital transformation and deeper participation in the value chain.
The Association also encourages the business community to proactively innovate technology, develop sustainably, strengthen cooperation and prioritize the use of products and services of businesses in the province when meeting quality and efficiency requirements.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Van - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - said that in the coming time, the province will focus on removing bottlenecks, unlocking resources; accompanying businesses to reduce legal compliance costs, improve access to land and credit, and at the same time promote administrative procedure reform, improve the investment and business environment.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee also expect the business community to actively seize opportunities, build a transparent business culture, improve competitiveness and develop effectively, thereby making positive contributions to Dak Lak's economic growth target in 2026.
