OCB was honored to be one of the organizations highly appreciated by the voting council, because of its many creative activities during the year, its willingness to innovate to promote business activities, its effective and creative communication strategy, its high level of brand recognition, and its positive contributions to sustainable socio-economic development in line with the theme of the 2024 APEA award "Celebrating Inclusive Entrepreneurship - Honoring the spirit of inclusive entrepreneurship".
In 2024, the bank announced its sustainable development strategy towards the goal of being a pioneering Green Bank in Vietnam. This is an activity that OCB has laid the foundation for very early with the support of many international credit organizations such as IFC.
OCB is also the pioneer bank to publish an independent sustainability report with the theme “Green Banking Transformation Journey”. The report fully describes each step of OCB’s transformation in greening banking operations, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam.
The report also provides full information including goals, orientations, achievements, outstanding activities and initiatives in 2023 as well as the bank's future plans for important sustainable development issues. Through this, OCB wishes to convey the message of commitments, efforts and many specific action programs, helping stakeholders (including customers, shareholders, employees, management agencies and the community) have a full perspective on the sustainable development journey that has been and is taking place in each business and operational activity at OCB.
OCB's leadership representative said: "Throughout the 28-year journey of construction and development, OCB has always been steadfast in following the core values in all of the bank's activities for the goal of effective, stable, sustainable and transparent growth. In particular, we have been continuously implementing the strategy for sustainable development. Today, OCB is very proud to receive the "Inspiring Brand" award, which will be a strong motivation for the bank to continue to carry out a series of actions to manage the bank's impact on the environmental - social - governance aspects, with the desire to contribute to the goal of sustainable development, accompanying the Government and the Management Agency for the Net Zero goal in the coming time.
It is known that in the near future, OCB will focus on promoting activities such as: Increasing the scale of green credit, saving resources and energy, reducing emissions, continuing to build a safe, efficient and happy working environment, accelerating the digitalization of operating processes and products and services, increasing information security and enhancing credit for projects serving the community and society...
Recently, OCB has also been named with many prestigious awards such as: Top Private Enterprises Paying the Largest Budget in Vietnam announced by CafeF; Double awards of "Outstanding Bank for Green Credit" and "Outstanding Bank Accompanying Small and Medium Enterprises" and "Top Sustainable Development Enterprises 2024" Award.
