On the morning of November 6, Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to conduct the election of personnel to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term for cadres introduced by the Politburo.
The conference was held to implement the document of the Party Central Committee Office announcing the Politburo's opinion on the nomination for the election of the Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and the plan of the Standing Committee of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee on implementing the personnel process to fill the position of Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Based on the results of implementing the procedures on personnel work in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee, based on the proposal of the Standing Committee of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee; The Politburo agreed to introduce Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee to be elected by the Provincial Party Executive Committee to hold the position of Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
At the Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference, delegates elected the Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee.
As a result, with the absolute vote of confidence of 100% of the delegates present, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
Previously, on August 26, at the 8th extraordinary session, the National Assembly passed a resolution approving the appointment of Mr. Do Duc Duy, Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, term 2021-2026.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan was born in 1974, hometown: Van Yen district, Yen Bai province.
Professional qualifications: Hydraulic engineer; Bachelor of political economy; Master of natural resources and environmental economics.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan used to work at the Irrigation Sub-Department of Yen Bai province; Yen Bai Irrigation Works Management Board; Yen Bai Irrigation Works Investment and Construction Project Management Board; Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Yen Bai province.
From December 2011 to September 2015: Chief of Office of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee.
From September 2015 to September 2019: Secretary of Van Yen District Party Committee, Chairman of Van Yen District People's Council, term XVII.
From October 2019 to September 2020: Member of the Standing Committee of the 18th Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board.
From October 2020 to November 6, 2024, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province, term 2016-2021.
