Welcoming the New Year of the Snake 2025, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVcomBank) and other member companies of the Group, together with the Hanoi People's Committee and the Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee, organized a light show using 2,025 drones called "Hanoi Art Light Festival - Brilliant Thang Long 2025" on New Year's Eve (29th of Lunar New Year). The show is expected to set a Guinness record for the number of drones participating in the show.
With the theme “Brilliant springs”, through creative storytelling and sophisticated staging, the art program Brilliant Thang Long will tell inspiring stories about spring. These can be historical springs with great significance to the nation, ideals shining in the hearts of every Vietnamese person, the stirring emotions of love between couples, of family reunion, the growth of heaven and earth…
Audiences in the capital will also enjoy a special art program with the appearance of A-list stars and a unique interactive musical genre, combining multiple performance genres, blending tradition and modernity, combining the quintessence of Hanoi with traditional cultural materials.
The highlight of the program is the 2025 pyrotechnic drone performance that will light up the capital's sky. This is the most modern and safest type of drone performance today, combining light technology (drone light) and artistic fireworks with special effects such as flashing, waterfalls, light sprays... promising to create impressive and special moments for the audience.
Right after the pyrotechnic drone performance, Nam Tu Liem district will also launch high-altitude fireworks at the exact moment of New Year's Eve to welcome the New Year of the Snake.
This year's Brilliant Thang Long art program will officially take place on the evening of January 28, 2025 (New Year's Eve of the Year of the Snake) at My Dinh Square - My Dinh National Stadium (Le Duc Tho, My Dinh, Hanoi) and is expected to be broadcast live on Hanoi Television and partially reported within the framework of the special New Year's Eve television program of Vietnam Television (VTV). It is estimated that the program will attract at least 1,000,000 viewers to watch live and millions of viewers watching remotely.
Before that, a dress rehearsal of the drone performance with the same quality as the official performance will take place on the evening of January 26, 2025 (the 27th day of the lunar calendar) so that people can arrange to watch and enjoy.
Sharing about the program "Ruc hong Thang Long", Mr. Mai Trong Thai - Chairman of Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee - said: "After the impressive success of the Hanoi - Ruc hong Thang Long Art Light Festival in 2024, Nam Tu Liem District is honored to be assigned the responsibility of hosting this year's program.
