On December 24, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group held the 19th expanded Executive Committee Meeting for the 2020-2025 term.
Reporting on the 2024 production and business results, Mr. Le Ngoc Son - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members (BOD), General Director of the Group - emphasized that Petrovietnam always strictly implements the instructions in management and promptly, synchronously and effectively deploys management solutions... Thanks to that, the production and business activities of the whole Group continue to be maintained stably.
Comprehensive results were achieved in all areas of operation, key indicators such as petroleum production, electricity production, and fertilizer production grew quite well compared to the same period in 2023; security and production safety work at all units/projects/factories/drilling rigs were smooth.
All key production targets of the Group were completed and exceeded the annual plan by 6-24%, reaching the finish line from 22 days to 2 months and 21 days ahead of schedule.
Compared to 2023, the Group has 4 key production growth targets, including: Urea production increased by 4.6%; electricity production increased by 25.8%; gasoline production (including NSRP) increased by 6.7%; NPK production increased by 19.5%.
Mr. Le Ngoc Son emphasized that 2025 is an important time requiring businesses to innovate, improve competitiveness, reach international standards for sustainable development, and at the same time contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
It is forecasted that 2025 will continue to present many difficulties and challenges for Petrovietnam. In that context, the Group has built and set goals with a determination to achieve higher results in 2025, with greater pressure than the 2024 plan, ensuring continuous growth and sustainable development.
After listening to the comments and contributions to the draft reports presented at the Conference, Mr. Le Manh Hung - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group - emphasized that in 2025, the entire Party Committee of the Group must focus on overcoming existing problems and implementing proposed solutions to successfully carry out assigned tasks.
With the goal of becoming Petrovietnam - the National Energy Industry Group, Petrovietnam needs to promote planning and synchronously implement the development strategy of the Group.
Along with that, it is necessary to unify solutions to achieve the "double-digit" growth target throughout the Group, from the parent company to member units/enterprises.
Continue to perfect the implementation of solutions to implement the development strategy of the Group and the Oil and Gas industry in the spirit of the orientation of Conclusion 76-KL/TW, continue to perfect the development institutions for the industry.
Resolutely deploy new driving forces, create major changes to realize the goal of Petrovietnam - National Energy Industry Group.
Mr. Le Manh Hung also noted that the entire Party Committee of the Group needs to be determined and resolute in implementing new driving forces, creating great changes through the application of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation to realize the goal of "double-digit" growth.
In addition to solutions to promote growth in production and business, Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Manh Hung also proposed to continue promoting and enhancing Petrovietnam's culture, synchronously integrating with oil and gas knowledge, thereby creating a breakthrough for the Group's development.
