On February 18, Mr. Cao Thanh Hoai - Head of the Culture - Society Department of Ia Lop commune - said that the local OCOP rice product is being welcomed by many provinces and cities, creating a positive effect for agricultural products in the border region.
Before the recent Lunar New Year, the commune for the first time organized a "digital market", opening more promotion channels, helping Ia Lop rice grains overcome geographical barriers and access a wider market.
According to Ia Lop Commune People's Committee, the "Chieng Village Rice" product is produced by Chieng Village Poverty Reduction Cooperative. Introducing agricultural products through online platforms is considered a new direction in product consumption.
Although livestreaming is still quite new to people in the deep Ia Lop area. However, people here are ready to learn to bring hometown specialties closer to customers.

Ms. Lang Thi Nhan (Chieng village) shared that although people are still unfamiliar with the digital market, they all hope that the village's rice grains will reach further and further, reaching consumers across the country.
Mr. Lang Van Xuan (born 1965), a reputable person in Chieng village, said that in recent years, people have actively applied science and technology, choosing farming methods suitable for the soil and harsh climate of the border region.
Thanks to that, the rice grains here have a characteristic, fragrant, easy-to-eat flavor and diverse use purposes. Mr. Cao Thanh Hoai informed that the whole commune currently has 1,914 households with 6,446 people. Of which, 938 households are ethnic minorities (3,331 people).
Currently, Ia Lop commune still has 310 near-poor households, accounting for 16.2%. The fact that people boldly innovate their production and business thinking has created a positive spillover effect, opening up new directions for many poor households.
Those who go ahead support those who come after, step by step helping local agricultural products affirm their position inside and outside the province. Thereby, contributing to poverty reduction and promoting socio-economic development in the border region" - shared the leader of Ia Lop commune.
