“In all industrial parks (IPs) there is household waste. According to regulations, there must be a unit outside the industrial park to take this household waste for treatment, but we have invested in a self-decomposing machine for organic waste from Japan to process it. We strive to reach zero waste in the Industrial Park by the end of 2024, 100% of waste will be treated" - Mr. Diep said.

Removing "bottlenecks" to develop ecological industrial parks
Sharing with PV, Mr. Bruno Jaspaert said, the biggest problem is that Vietnam is developing very rapidly but the legal regulations have not kept up with that speed. Therefore, if you want to build a sustainable industrial park, you can still do it but it will take a lot of time and effort.
“I can give an example that it took us three years to get a license to install wind power poles because Vietnam does not have technical standards for installing wind power poles in industrial parks. In Europe, you can see wind power poles installed along highways and in industrial parks. But in Vietnam, it is not easy to do this because the law has not kept up. That is one of the reasons why it is difficult to do, another reason is that this issue is quite new in Vietnam" - Mr. Bruno said.
Also according to Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, although ecological industry is forming and developing strongly in Vietnam, there are still too many new things that cannot be applied overnight.
"At this time I can say there have never been any incentives for eco-industrial parks. I hope the situation will be different in the future" - Mr. Bruno said.
Mr. Bruno Jaspaert - CEO of Deep C said: "We have a wastewater treatment plant capable of treating the quality of treated wastewater even better than the quality of raw water, but even so we cannot Treated wastewater returns to the industrial production process even though secondary investors in the industrial park are willing to reuse this treated wastewater."
