On October 23, the Thai Binh Provincial Tax Department held a conference to honor outstanding tax-paying organizations and individuals in 2023. At the conference, the organizing committee honored 26 outstanding tax-paying enterprises. These are enterprises with outstanding achievements in production, business and tax obligations in 2023, awarded certificates of merit by the Directorate of Finance, Thai Binh Provincial Tax Department.
According to the report at the conference, in 2023, the total budget revenue of Thai Binh province will reach more than 9,814 billion VND; of which revenue from the state-owned enterprise sector will reach more than 1,045 billion VND; foreign-invested enterprises will reach more than 200 billion VND; land use fees will reach more than 4,338 billion VND; fees and charges will reach more than 100 billion VND...
Meanwhile, according to the 2023 State budget revenue estimate, the Thai Binh tax sector was assigned 10,184 billion VND by the Ministry of Finance, and the Provincial People's Council assigned 11,352 billion VND. If land use fees are deducted, the estimated revenue from fees, charges and other revenues assigned is 7,684 billion VND.
Thus, the total state budget revenue in 2023 of Thai Binh province only reached 96.4% of the central estimate, a shortfall of 369.4 billion VND. Total revenue after deducting land use fees only reached 5,475.8 billion VND, equivalent to 71.3% of the central estimate, equal to 76.6% compared to the same period in 2022.

A typical tax payer is Mr. Tran Manh Bao - Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Thai Binh SEED Group Joint Stock Company.
In 2024, the Thai Binh Provincial Tax Department was assigned VND 8,578 billion by the Ministry of Finance, of which taxes and fees were VND 4,858 billion and land use fees were VND 3,720 billion; the Provincial People's Council assigned VND 8,608 billion, of which taxes and fees were VND 4,888 billion and land use fees were VND 3,720 billion.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Hong Nam - Director of Thai Binh Provincial Tax Department said that in 2023, in the context of the complicated and unpredictable world economic situation, the domestic economy was affected by many favorable opportunities and intertwined difficulties and challenges, businesses in Thai Binh have made great efforts in production and business, achieving encouraging results.
To facilitate businesses and entrepreneurs in tax work, in 2023, Thai Binh Provincial Tax Department actively implemented administrative reforms, especially the implementation of Project 06, identifying this as a key task, aiming to soon synchronize personal tax code data, citizen identification code data, and business data.
The Director of the Thai Binh Provincial Tax Department suggested that businesses and entrepreneurs continue to work with the tax sector to standardize personal tax code data, synchronize tax data with the national population database, continue to implement electronic invoices, and eliminate illegal trading of electronic invoices, which affects legitimate production and business.
