On the afternoon of June 9, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters recorded at Ha Tinh City Market (the largest market in Ha Tinh province, often called the provincial market), most of the kiosks selling clothes and cosmetics have reopened after several days of closing stalls for fear of the authorities checking the origin of goods.
A female trader selling clothes in a market on the first floor shared that for about 5 days now, her stall and many stalls selling clothes in this market have temporarily closed and stopped selling because they are afraid that the inspection team will confiscate goods.

"I just reopened my business this afternoon but I was both scared and nervous. I don't know if when I go in to check, if the goods do not have invoices proving their origin, will they be confiscated or not, what will be the punishment, will there be a heavy fine", this female trader shared.
Walking around the market for a while, the reporter recorded many more shares from traders who were afraid that the group would check the origin of the goods, so they stopped selling for a few days. However, they could not stop selling for a long time because they still had to earn an income to make ends meet, so they decided to reopen the store in a state of anxiety about being suddenly inspected.
Another female trader selling phone case products outside the market, in the area in Ha Tinh City Market, also said that after 3 days of closing, she reopened the sale on the afternoon of June 9 but was worried about being suddenly inspected at the same time as selling.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoa - Head of Ha Tinh Market Management Department - said that the market inspection and control activities of the authorities are to detect, prevent, and handle acts of trading in counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, or commercial fraud.
Faced with many traders being confused, closing, and temporarily stopping business because they are afraid of being inspected and discovering goods of unknown origin, Mr. Khoa said that traders need to first be calm, not panic, not close, and stop doing business, negatively affecting the market, people's consumption needs as well as the income of traders.
However, Mr. Khoa said that traders also need to be proactive, ensuring clear and quality product origins to protect consumer rights, maintain reputable and sustainable business and trading activities.
