On October 21, at the Tax Directorate, the Ministry of Finance held a conference to announce Decision No. 2482/QD-BTC dated October 17, 2024 of the Minister of Finance on the temporary appointment of Mr. Vu Manh Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Tax Department, to the position of Deputy Directorate Head of the Tax Directorate.
Chairing and speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan said that in Resolution No. 56-NQ/BCSD dated September 28, 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance approved the policy of appointing 01 Deputy Directorate, Head of Tax Directorate from the local human resources planned for the position of Deputy Directorate, Head of Tax Directorate for the 2021-2026 term, meeting all the conditions and standards of the position according to regulations and implementing the steps of the process and procedures.
Mr. Vu Manh Cuong, born in 1976; Professional qualifications: Master of Business Administration, Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Bachelor of Economics, Hanoi University of Accounting and Finance; Bachelor of English, Hanoi Open University;
Political Theory: Advanced; State Management: Official Advanced.
Mr. Vu Manh Cuong has nearly 20 years of experience in the Finance sector, has held many positions and leadership positions, and before being appointed as Deputy Directorate of Tax Directorate, Mr. Cuong held the position of Director of Hanoi Tax Department.
“During his work, Mr. Vu Manh Cuong has always demonstrated his ability to manage, operate, and be responsible for his work; is a well-trained officer with basic training, capacity, and deep expertise, always completing assigned tasks excellently; has experience, the ability to gather the masses, and has good working relationships with units inside and outside the financial sector” - Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan assessed.
Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan suggested that the new Deputy Directorate General Vu Manh Cuong should focus on coordinating with members of the Tax Directorate's Board of Directors to lead and direct tax agencies at all levels to strengthen coordination with local authorities to promptly and effectively implement solutions to support taxpayers, especially in localities severely affected by natural disasters and epidemics, to recover and develop production and business; continue to review and promote tax administrative procedure reform, and modernize the tax system.
Speaking at the conference, the new Deputy Directorate General Vu Manh Cuong expressed his sincere and deep gratitude to the Government leaders, the Party Committee, and the leaders of the Ministry of Finance for their consideration, trust, and confidence in assigning him the important responsibility of Deputy Directorate General of Taxation.
