Ho Chi Minh City dialogues to remove obstacles in social insurance policies for businesses

NGỌC LÊ |

Many new regulations on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance have been updated and answered by functional agencies.

On June 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center (ITPC) in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance organized the Business - City Government Dialogue Conference with a topic on social insurance (BHXH), health insurance (BHYT) and unemployment insurance (BHTN) policies.

Mr. Le Anh Hoang - Deputy Director of ITPC - said that functional agencies will provide information, guidance, and share current regulations; and at the same time receive recommendations, difficulties, and obstacles arising during the implementation process to study, consider and resolve or propose to competent authorities to continue to improve mechanisms and policies in the coming time.

According to Mr. Le Anh Hoang, in its role as the standing agency of the Management Board of the Business Dialogue System - city government, ITPC always identifies businesses as the center to serve. The Center constantly coordinates with departments and branches to innovate dialogue activities in a proactive, timely and substantive direction, taking the effectiveness of resolving business recommendations as a measure of service quality of state agencies.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance - noted some new points in the field of social insurance that businesses need to pay attention to.

Specifically, from July 1, the base salary was adjusted to 2,530,000 VND/month, leading to changes in the maximum contribution level equal to 20 times the base salary according to regulations. In addition, recently, many businesses have also paid attention and raised questions related to the Population Law, especially policies for female workers who have second children.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, there have been many changes in policies in the past time. Therefore, through the dialogue, the social insurance agency hopes that businesses will exchange and share difficulties and obstacles arising in the process of implementing social insurance policies for employees at the unit.

He also suggested that businesses boldly contribute opinions if they see that the social insurance agency still has content that does not serve well or does not meet requirements, so that the unit can promptly draw experience, rectify, and continue to improve service quality, better meeting the needs of businesses and employees.

Regarding the questions that businesses have sent before the conference, the social insurance agency said that it has summarized and will answer them in turn in the program. For cases related to specific dossiers of each business or each employee, representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance request businesses to provide complete information along with the questions so that functional agencies have a basis for searching, reviewing and answering accurately. In fact, many businesses only raise general questions, so there are not enough data to identify specific dossiers and provide satisfactory solutions.

For issues related to each specific dossier, we request businesses to send complete information so that we can conduct investigations, inspections and have the most complete and accurate feedback" - Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh emphasized.

Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance expects to work with businesses to remove difficulties and obstacles that still exist, contributing to better serving workers at units, and effectively implementing policies and laws on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance.
