Cashless streets receive positive support
As one of the streets that strongly responded to National Digital Transformation Day, after more than a month of implementing "Commercial Street 4.0 - Cashless", stores on Trung Hoa Street (Cau Giay, Hanoi) have completely replaced cash with digital payment methods.
People's shopping habits are also gradually changing in a positive direction, bringing a more convenient and faster experience.
Ms. Ta Thi Thao Nhi - an employee at a beauty salon on Trung Hoa Street (Cau Giay) shared: "Since the street switched to cashless payments, summarizing daily revenue has become much easier thanks to the application on the phone."
Even restaurants are clearly feeling the benefits of payment via bank scan codes and e-wallets.
Ms. Dang Thi Minh - owner of a rice shop on Trung Hoa street, said: "If using cash, returning change takes a lot of time and is easy to make mistakes. Now, customers just need to scan the QR code, I can hear the loudspeaker announcing the successful transfer and I can rest assured. This helps me save time and manage revenue more effectively."
Not only medium and large enterprises, even small street vendors like Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh - selling iced tea, juice, banh mi, also receive many benefits.
Ms. Quynh happily shared that she did not accidentally get into a "dilemma" situation: "Previously, there was a customer who bought a glass of iced tea for a few thousand but paid with a 500 thousand bill, which made me confused. Now, all I have to do is scan the code, which is both quick and avoids awkwardness for both sides."
Need to expand the cashless street model
On the customer side, many people also appreciate the convenience and efficiency in managing personal expenses when using cashless payment methods.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong (Hanoi) commented: "Paying via bank helps me track my spending easily thanks to the statement. Before, when I used cash, I often didn't know what I spent, but now I just need to open my phone to check all my expenses."
Agreeing with that opinion, Hoang Nhu Phong (Cau Giay) shared: "Scanning QR codes or transferring money is very fast and convenient. No need to open your wallet to count each coin, just scan and it's done. I hope this model will be expanded not only in the capital but also throughout the country."
The application of digital payment on Trung Hoa Street (Cau Giay, Hanoi) is not only an important step in Vietnam's digital transformation process but also opens up a future of safer and more convenient transactions for people.
