Automatic transmission can cause jerking when shifting gears
The automatic transmission is one of the parts to note when the car has jerking during operation. Degraded gearbox oil, hydraulic system, solenoids, controllers or internal clutch clusters that are abnormal can all affect the gear shift process.
The manifestation may be a slight or strong car jerking when changing gears. If the engine speed increases abnormally but the car speed does not increase correspondingly, accompanied by a feeling of slowness or slippage when changing gears, it is necessary to check the gearbox.
However, increasing the speed when accelerating is not necessarily a sign of damage, because the gearbox can proactively keep the gears low to increase traction. Nozzles and fuel systems need to be checked
Fuel injection systems can also be associated with jerking. Dirty, clogged, or uneven injection needles can cause fuel supply to the engine to be inappropriate.
When the driver accelerates, fuel demand increases. If the fuel supply system does not meet the demand, the engine may operate unstablely, causing power loss, vibration or jerking.
In addition to the injection needle, the condition of fuel pumping or fuel filtering also needs to be considered depending on the car model and system design.
Spark plugs, ignition bolts can cause jerking and braking failure
On gasoline engines, worn, dirty spark plugs or ignition bolts that operate unstablely can disrupt the combustion process in the cylinder.
The phenomenon of missing the engine (misfire) is usually clearer when the engine is load-bearing or when accelerating. The car may vibrate, lose power, have poor accelerator response and in some cases light up the engine lights.
Track butterflies and sensors are also parts to watch out for.
With the electronic throttle system, the throttle pedal position sensor records the driver's request. The ECU processes this signal and then controls the throttle motor to adjust the amount of air loaded into the engine.
If the accelerator pedal sensor, throttle position sensor or the throttle cluster itself encounter abnormalities, the car may have unstable throttle response, uneven acceleration, or limited power mode.
In addition, engine air filters that are too dirty can limit the amount of air entering the engine. Blocked fuel filters can also affect fuel supply capacity, depending on the design of each car.
Due to the phenomenon of jerking and slow acceleration, there are many causes, car owners should not replace each part themselves to test. Reading errors using diagnostic equipment combined with actual checks, operating data and the status of related systems will help correctly identify the cause, limit unnecessary repairs and ensure stable vehicle operation.
