190 billion VND project increases the efficiency of Vinh Phu bridge exploitation in Phu Tho

As Lao Dong newspaper has reported in the article "Urgent traffic in the Vinh Phu bridgehead area in Phu Tho" from November 13, 2025, the Lo River dike road connecting Vinh Phu bridgehead with DT. 306 in Song Lo commune often experiences congestion.

Here, during rush hour, there is a lot of traffic from the Viet Tri area through Vinh Phu bridge, through the dike road section and DT. 306, making the already narrow road section, the curve, even more chaotic.

Especially, at the intersection between the dike road and DT. 306 (about 50m from the bridgehead), tractor trucks when moving into the curve almost occupy the entire road, making traffic difficult and the road increasingly degraded.

Ms. Phuong - a resident of Song Lo commune recounted: "Many tractor-trailers run on this road section, while the road through the residential area is narrow and has many curves. Late afternoon, students finish school, workers finish work is when the road section is most congested, very troublesome.

The above issues are expected to be resolved soon when Phu Tho province invests heavily to renovate and upgrade DT. 306 section passing through Song Lo commune.

That is Component Project 2: Investment in Construction, Renovation and Upgrading of DT. 306, section from the intersection with Van Quan - Song Lo road to Vinh Phu bridge; the total investment is 190 billion VND invested by the Vinh Phuc Regional Project Management Board.

According to the reporter's investigation, on August 13, the investor issued a bidding invitation notice for the Construction package + equipment of the project; price of more than 177 billion VND from provincial-level public investment capital for the period 2026 - 2030.

In the near future, the winning unit of the above bidding package will construct the renovation and upgrading of the road with a length of about 5.153km, starting point at the intersection with Van Quan - Song Lo road, ending point of the route intersecting with the left dike of the Lo River at Km23+850.

For the section from the starting point to the intersection with the branch line of Van Quan - Song Lo road, with a length of about 2km, it is renovated and upgraded to meet the standard of Level III Mekong Delta Road according to the "Car Road and Design Requirements" standard, design speed of 60km/h.

The above section will have a roadbed width of 12m, a road surface width of 11m, and a sidewalk width of 0.5m on each side.

For the section from the intersection with the branch line of Van Quan - Song Lo road to the end of the route, with a length of about 3.153km, it is renovated and upgraded to meet the standard of mainly collected streets according to the standard "Urban Road - Design Requirements", speed 60km/h.

The above-mentioned section will have a roadbed width of 18 - 24m, a road surface width of 15m, and sidewalk widths ranging from 1.5 - 4.5m on each side to suit the conditions on both sides of the road and the vertical traffic width of the existing Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway underpass.

According to the investor, the project will contribute to promoting the investment efficiency of the Vinh Phu bridge project to connect Song Lo commune, Lap Thach commune with Viet Tri ward; connecting industrial parks: Song Lo I, Song Lo II, Lap Thach with Thuy Van industrial park (through Vinh Phu bridge).
