A year after "Anh trai say hi", how has your life changed? Is your current JSOL different from your JSOL before participating in the show "Anh trai say hi"?
- After "Anh trai say hi", my schedule is busier. This has caused many changes in my life, especially my limited time, requiring me to have more reasonable and disciplined time management skills. However, the present moment is the time when I feel happiest and happiest, because I work and have many SONICs who love and accompany me.
What did the "Anh trai say hi" journey bring to JSOL?
- "Anh trai say hi" brings a great opportunity for JSOL to show many aspects and abilities of himself that the audience had never known before. The summer of 2024 is also an important milestone for the change in my music career. Therefore, I always have deep respect and gratitude for "Anh trai say hi".
JSOL studied at the Vocal Department of the Military University of Culture and Arts in 2015. As a young singer who is both talented, has a bright appearance, and comes from a well-educated environment, do you think this is an advantage when entering the entertainment industry?
- I think calling it an advantage is correct, but not enough. The knowledge I have learned in school is a solid foundation for me to confidently work. When I officially entered the entertainment industry, I realized that I needed a lot of effort and also luck.
During his time at school, how were JSOL trained and nurtured his passion? Can discipline in an environment with the military element help JSOLs mature?
- During that time, I witnessed great performances from teachers, thereby arousing the desire to learn and standing on stage with courage, sublimation and music. To do that, discipline is an indispensable factor. Indeed, discipline helps me think more maturely, mature, study well and complete the set goals.
Since graduating, have you had the opportunity to return to your old school to perform or visit your former teachers?
- JSOL still does not have the opportunity to return to the performance hall. If so, I would definitely be very happy and proud to return to perform at the place that gave me the wings to my dreams, training me with the first knowledge on the musical path.
JSOL was a trainee at an entertainment company in Hanoi, then joined DreamS Entertainment. What is the similarity and difference between the outside training process and the time spent studying at school?
- The similarity is that I have been trained in the necessary skills to become a professional artist. The difference lies in the specific orientation of each company, thereby having additional specific training content to suit the artist development strategy.
Having brought many ambitions to Ho Chi Minh City to start a career, JSOL's career has encountered many ups and downs. If talking about your weaknesses, what do you think they are and how have you overcome them?
- When deciding to move to Ho Chi Minh City to pursue music, JSOL was mentally prepared to face many difficulties and obstacles. For me, work has ups and downs. When I was in high school, I learned to remind myself to be more humble, and when I was in difficulty and failed, I learned valuable lessons to move forward.
As for the weakness, I think they are the cats. The cat I raised was cramps, so I always try to take care of the children as much as possible.
Recently, JSOL has continuously released music products as a solo artist, or collaborated with a few other artists with many different colors and styles. What are you trying to prove?
- JSOL thinks that in his music, he will not limit himself to anything, so when there is an opportunity, I always want to experience as much as possible. This is very good for improving their expertise in music. Whether solo or collaborating with other artists depends on the orientation and whether the song is necessary or not, each decision is made to bring the audience the most quality works. That must be something I want to prove in music.
Last September, JSOL officially released their debut mini album "OE OE". How did the pregnancy and album making process go?
- "OE OE" is not only his first mini album in his career, but also the spiritual child that JSOL has cherished for a long time. After graduating from the show Anh trai say hi, I came up with the idea of doing a project that marked a milestone for my music career, and OE OE started like that.
In the early days of making the Mini Album, I determined that these would be the music stories with the most obvious JSOL spirit: fun, full of energy and close to the audience accompanying me. The implementation also takes a lot of time, and it will take a year for this project to be completed.
JSOL is very proud of this product from music, concept, message... I am also very happy to debut, OE OE has received positive feedback from the audience.
When making this mini album, the biggest thing I learned was to trust the word Ren. Everything in life needs its time, no matter how early or late, no matter how late or late, everything needs to be at the right time. And to wait for that time, I have to be patient with myself, with the things I am doing.
Many times JSOL wanted to give up because he was impatient with himself, but received patience from those around him. They were by JSOL's side, accompanying and reminding him little by little. There are very late working nights, JSOL still receives many messages from fans to comfort and encourage me to stay healthy and try harder. Those things are very meaningful to me.
JSOL once shared that he wanted to follow the idol artist orientation. What advantages and disadvantages do you have?
- JSOL thinks the market will have one now, another now. When developing, when saturating... it is a repeated flow over a long period of time. Not only in the world but also in Vietnam. New core values are what help artists go far and steadily, whether they are oriented as Idol artists, performers or vocalists.
At first, following this path, I also encountered many difficulties because I had no experience. Therefore, I spent a lot of time practicing myself, preparing the necessary skills and releasing music products. When "Anh trai say hi" became a fever, fandom culture was clearly formed with a more professional scale and way of operation, I think this is the right time for JSOL to accelerate his career.
As one of the artists participating in GENFest 2025, what have you prepared for this event?
- GENFest is JSOL's long-standing dream stage. 3 years ago, when standing on stage, I thought that if I were JSOL on stage, I would do better this way or that way... But, in fact, JSOL still stood below to watch others perform. At that time, I realized that I was still very unstable, so I didn't have a chance.
From then on, I promised to try harder. When I received the invitation from GENFest 2025, I was very happy. That was the moment I burst into tears because I had touched my favorite stage. Therefore, I have prepared extremely seriously for this stage. I prepared the concept, wrote scripts, lines, mixed music, wrote new songs, practiced dancing, practiced choreography, props, recorded reports... many tasks were quickly completed by me and the crew in a month. And I was proud that the show in Ho Chi Minh City was warmly welcomed by everyone.
Participating with famous domestic and international artists proves JSOL's leading position in the music market. Are you pressured by the audience's expectations?
- JSOL is still contributing to music with all his strength and passion, I don't accept where he is. In this industry, to be successful, effort is a mandatory factor. No one enters the entertainment industry without making every effort, so the rest is luck. When there are opportunities, we must know how to grasp them to be successful.
I consider the audience's expectations as a driving force for development. They love and follow my journey, so I am very grateful for that. As for whether I am strict with myself or not, I affirm that I am. I want to bring the best performances to the audience, but to do this, I have to be very strict to be able to complete well so as not to disappoint the audience and not to feel regretful or regretful for not trying.
busy work intensity, how much time does JSOL spend on herself?
- I often spend the end of the day for myself. When I have free time, I play with cats and relax.
How does JSOL plan to innovate itself in 2026?
- I am cherishing many plans, but it is still quite early to reveal. I will definitely bring new surprises.
