Female nature is still a unique feature of contemporary female poetry
Indeed, female poetry always has its own love-lies that "men's pen can hardly write" (Hoai Thanh). "So there is a way for a male poet to be different from a female poet in some way" (Trinh Thanh Son). So to speak of feminine poetry, we must speak of feminine nature.
Because in addition to national personality and humanity, each author also incorporates gender into his work. Unlike men, women's ways of thinking, ways of looking, and artistic concepts have many differences, leading to countless differences in the choice of content, in the way of approaching and explaining problems, the way of building images, and the way of using language.
More eager and engrossed than others, the poets often live in hallucinations, so they easily beautify, idealize love and idolise their lover, the intensity of love in them is stronger and their desire for happiness is also stronger: I love you crazy (Tre gai, Vi Thuy Linh). In their daily lives, anxiety is always present: The whole canopy is full of sewing grass/ My shirt is carefully covered with hay/ Love color is as thin as smoke/ Who knows, my love has changed (Sewing grass flowers, Xuan Quynh).
For them, love, fragile happiness, loneliness are always there: I sit with the old moonlight/ Raising children with salt to rub over sadness (Squeezing your hands, letting your fingers ring, Hoang Viet Hang).
Along with a proud heart, sometimes, they dare to give up everything, but there is one thing that women are determined to protect, protect, and resolutely, and try to keep at all costs: their children - the most quintessential works of art that nature has given them. To be able to fulfill their civil service as mothers and satisfy their journey to find beauty, poets have to pay a price, have to separate: Raising children in a healthy environment to support themselves in a dream (Nguyen Thi Mai).
Choosing the poetry collection as a place to preserve suffering and happiness, to hold on to the verses while standing up and of course the poetry collection also chose them to carry a message of love to people's lives, so the poetry written with tears deeply embedded in the heart is the exclusive right of women, because only women have such grief and pain!
And the language of female poetry is often clear, soft, shiny, gentle, sometimes wearing additional jewelry to please and to express the delicate feelings in sensitive souls. It is not easy for men to write verses containing cute and humane behaviors: I pay you more/ I'm surprised you think I'm wrong (women, Pham Thu Yen).
In addition to the gentle, soft verses like silk, the quality of female poetry also lies in the four-line poems imbued with profound human philosophies, in the poems full of personality and intelligence: The heart listens to the sound of the voice/ The voice of the world still resounds (Nguyen Thi Hong Ngat). Or: Goodness, the Bride of the Century/ Leak all the intercessions to the past (Tran Thi Nuong).
Contemporary female poets are moving towards modernization
The nature of art is creativity, the female poet always aspires to innovate her poetry and innovate herself with new artistic concepts. Each of them wants to affirm their personality: hit a boring peaceful day/ fly up like a bird in the sky/ Only once to live/ Let me be myself (Storm, Chu Thu Hang).
What they want and need is very new: I need a dose of doping (dark, light), no need for tears (Xin, Tuyet Nga). What they want is very different first: "package a fallen star sky... Package the shaky memories (The Fourth Seed, Tuyet Nga). Many strange and modern verses: The universe has a mysterious black hole/ The eyes are the black hole of the human universe/ When kissing the eyes of England, in England/ You see the movement of the world from the sprouting seeds still in the water (Engine's eyes, Vi Thuy Linh). Through the survey, we see that although the innovation of female poetry is quiet, it has initially taken place in many aspects: from artistic concepts, to content, forms; from language, genres to poetic thinking...
Their poetry is no longer in an oppressed area, no longer shy but is a direct, straightforward attitude. The question Who are we? was strongly asked: wonder if we come from lightning/ dress up to paint a life cycle/ A tourist on a ship has a plan, a number of chairs/ We are prisoners in our own organizational Zinc Thorn hang (Die sinh, Pham Van Anh). For them, what they write is not important, but what they wonder is: How to write to integrate into today's world?
The voice of a crow crow crow crowing in the air/ The wet afternoon of a feather-picking shirt taking shelter in struggles/ The beautiful memories of a year are thin and thin, hand-shaped, painted in the shape of a drop of water/ Separating a sad and scented coffee/ The rain is warm with scarves and towels... (rain outside the gate, Lu Thi Mai).
There are many innovation trends. Some of them follow the direction from traditional to modern. Some of them go straight to modern post-production. In addition to the direction of finding ways to renew the seventh-line poem, they create prose and song (Pham Thi Phuong Thao, Pham Van Anh) and very short, concise, and express- Talking poems such as 2 sentences (Nguyen Thi Mai, Hanh Mai); 3-ment poem (poem 1, 2, 3) - a poem that breaks traditional relativity (Do Thu Yen, Y Mui, Pham Thi Phuong Thao). Short poetry is a direction that requires minimalist and symbolic poetic language, evoking many thoughts, rich in rhythm, thereby opening up deep layers of meaning. The 2 verses are very similar to modern folk songs, with a humorous style in folk and intellectual style but very real: Propaganda like lightning/ That is the end/ A trip to the boat/Sink (Hanh Mai).
The voice of the poem tends to change: The sad melody, the singing of the body decreases, the flow of the heart is enhanced. Because the important task of contemporary poetry is to inspire readers positively, because today's life requires joy and beauty, not just suffering?
The content of today's female poetry is new, democratic and open: You go on a date this morning/ Holding a nephew in your hand, you are hot/ Brown hair, red lips, pink cheeks/ Her heart is also overwhelmed with love (I go on a date, Nguyen Thi Mai). The female poet's figure is getting bigger and bigger: I want to hug the whole earth/ I want to hug the whole sky/ But I can't hug it all/ A human heart (Send to love, Doan Thi Lam Luyen). And that is the basis for hope, more and more female poets have their own ideas and styles.
