In June, Ms. Dinh Mai, from Vinh Phuc, posted the article "Looking for teammates" in a group sharing experiences of traveling by car. Ms. Mai previously went backpacking with her son. After 10 days accompanying her mother from Vinh Phuc to Ha Tinh, her young son wanted to return home because the weather was too hot.
Therefore, Ms. Dinh Mai hopes her trip will bring more friends with similar interests. She thought she would have to travel alone on the road to the Central region, but after just one day of posting and expressing her wishes on social networks , Ms. Mai had 3 new companions. Unspeakable joy.
Memorable firsts
With the experience of driving across Vietnam twice with her son, this time, Mai wanted her experience to be a little different. Therefore, she decided to invite a few "strangers" with the same passion and must be women to ensure her safety.
Initially, before making this decision, she was quite worried. She is afraid of meeting bad people, or afraid of not getting along with her companions on the trip. However, with the three current companions, Ms. Mai has talked and feels that everyone is decent and trustworthy. Therefore, she connected them together into a group.
On June 27, their trip departed from Vinh Phuc and gradually entered the beaches in Ha Tinh.
She said: “Of course, the first time we went together, there were definitely times when we were not very satisfied. But because of the fun and united nature of the trip, everyone put aside all the petty anger and enjoyed the roads and delicious food together.
Before starting, I also said that the car and equipment were fully prepared, the accompanying members only needed to bring their own things and buy whatever they wanted to eat. During the trip, everything is shared, one person will hold the group's fund, the remaining members are responsible for paying and then at the end of the day record the amount spent and notify the amount of excess or deficiency.
The trip was filled with new joy
Initially, Ms. Dinh Mai intentionally invited more members to go with her while she herself was the main driver. However, during the trip, there was a member who knew how to drive and took on part of the easy roads while Ms. Mai was the "hard" driver and handled most of the difficult passes.
Even though they were all "strangers" traveling together for the first time, the four-member group tried to enjoy the best experiences together. For Ms. Mai, the memory she remembers most is the evening when the group set up their tent at Thien Cam beach, Ha Tinh. The next morning, waking up on the sparkling beautiful beach, everyone was excited and saw how meaningful the trip was.
Saying goodbye to Ha Tinh, our group moved to Da Nang, Hoi An and stayed for 2 days and 3 nights, visiting the night market, swimming and experiencing basket boats in the Bay Mau coconut forest.
“If you want to go far, you have to go with teammates, it's true! The landscape doesn't need to be too elaborate, whether it's beautiful or not depends on your mood. We are 4 single girls, happily traveling together to experience and explore, so it doesn't necessarily matter where we go or what we do. Just yesterday morning in Ha Tinh, in the evening we were in Hoi An.
Let's wander together, wherever we go to find delicious food, we will jump in, sip a cup of coffee or a smoothie on the riverbank and enjoy the simple moments of the old town," Ms. Dinh Mai continuously updated about the journey. yourself with new friends.
At noon on the 5th day, while waiting for the afternoon boat to Ly Son island, the whole group brought things to the beach of Ba Lang An, Quang Ngai to cook rice in a pot, and make some salty dishes such as braised meat with shrimp paste, stir-fried sour ribs. sweet, mushroom soup. The group had more time to chat and bond together while enjoying the cool, pleasant atmosphere by the beach.
She said: "Even though I have tried all the cuisines in every place, even if I eat delicious seafood, for me, country rice is still my true love! Our group does not have a fixed place to eat, we go to any place to find out if there is any strange dish and will try it."
Ms. Mai was impressed with Ly Son Island because of its inherent wilderness, friendly local people, diverse and delicious dishes, and cheap expenses. “Ly Son Island is a place worth coming to feel. If I have a chance, I will definitely come back!”, Ms. Mai expressed.
On the 11th day, the two youngest members of the group were busy with work so they left first. Ms. Mai and the remaining female members continued their journey, driving across Vietnam to explore new places. This trip, although the itinerary seems familiar to Ms. Mai, is certainly full of joy with new friends.
