
On May 28, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board and Nghe An College of Economics and Technology No. 1 jointly organized a training program with the theme "Proactively inspecting, evaluating, reviewing risks and unsafety and raising awareness in implementing occupational safety and health at enterprises; propagating, disseminating and answering questions about the 2024 Law on Social Insurance, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2024 Law on Health Insurance".
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Manh Loi - Deputy Head of the Management Board of Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone; Dr. Ngo Sy Thanh Tung - Vice Rector in charge of Nghe An College of Economics and Technology No. 1; Dr. Nguyen Sy Tai - Main Lecturer of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Sciences; representatives of Nghe An Provincial Social Insurance and specialized departments and agencies.
The program attracted nearly 200 students who are representatives of business leaders, trade union officials, personnel and occupational safety and health officials at enterprises in the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone and industrial parks in the province.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Ngo Sy Thanh Tung said that the training session is a practical activity in response to the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026; and at the same time contributes to raising awareness, responsibility and skills in implementing occupational safety and health in enterprises in the Southeast Economic Zone of Nghe An and industrial parks in the province.

According to Dr. Ngo Sy Thanh Tung, as a technical training and occupational safety and health training institution, Nghe An College of Economics and Technology No. 1 always identifies accompanying the Management Board of Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone and the business community as an important task.
The school is ready to coordinate in training human resources, training labor safety, consulting on building processes and raising awareness for employees and employers, thereby contributing to building a safe, stable and sustainable working environment.
Through the program, trainees exchange practical knowledge about identifying hazards in the workplace, methods of assessing and controlling risks, measures to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases, as well as building a safety culture in businesses.

In the program, delegates were taught by lecturers many contents about the role of occupational safety and health in modern enterprises, new legal regulations on occupational safety and health; and participated in group exercises on identifying hazards in the workplace, measures to prevent workplace accidents and occupational diseases.
The trainees also discussed the occupational safety and health management system, building a safety culture, forming safe behavior from individuals to organizations; practiced building plans to improve occupational safety and health at units.
In addition, the program also propagates, disseminates and answers new contents of the 2024 Law on Social Insurance, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2024 Law on Health Insurance, in order to raise awareness and sense of law compliance of employers and employees.
