Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation sent his condolences to all levels of the Trade Union as well as union members and employees of Hai Phong City - one of the localities heavily affected by storm No. 3.
The Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation also hopes that through the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, the gifts will reach workers in difficult circumstances affected by storm No. 3. At the same time, the city's trade unions and workers will soon overcome the consequences and stabilize their activities.
According to the preliminary report of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, by 5 p.m. on September 12, storm No. 3 had caused damage, killing 2 workers and injuring 96 workers; 284 businesses had lost facilities, machinery, equipment, and goods estimated at thousands of billions of VND. 148 houses of workers and laborers in difficult circumstances were severely damaged.
With the cooperation of the Labor Federations of other provinces and cities, the Labor Federation of Hai Phong City spent 15 billion VND to support and care for workers affected by storm No. 3, and supported 1 billion VND to share the damage with businesses. In addition, the City Labor Federation spent 1.2 billion VND to support the northern mountainous provinces suffering damage due to floods.
