On the morning of August 26, the Dak Lak Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening ceremony of the 2024 Provincial Civil Servants, Officials and Workers Sports Festival.
Attending the sports festival were 1,150 athletes from 20 direct upper-level trade unions and 10 grass-roots trade unions (affiliated with the Central Sector Union) stationed in the province.
Athletes participating in the sports festival will compete in 29 sets of medals in sports including badminton, table tennis, men's volleyball, women's volleyball, sack jumping, tug of war and tennis.
The sports festival is a meaningful activity, celebrating the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024), commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).
Union members and workers will have a healthy, useful playground to exchange, learn, and promote the movement of physical training and sports following the example of the great Uncle Ho in agencies and units.
Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Confederation, Head of the Sports Festival Organizing Committee - asked the athletes to compete with a spirit of solidarity, honesty and nobility.
Athletes try their best and strictly comply with the referees' instructions, contributing to the success of the sports festival.
