On April 28, at Saigon - Gia Lai International Eye Hospital (Dien Hong ward), Dien Hong Ward Trade Union coordinated with Saigon - Gia Lai International Eye Hospital Joint Stock Company to organize a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement to implement a welfare program for union members and workers.
The program is implemented on the occasion of Workers' Month and Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, towards celebrating the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (1-5) and the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
According to the signed content, union members, workers and relatives of Dien Hong Ward Trade Union are 100% free of examination and consultation costs for eye diseases and basic general health check-ups with 21 technical service categories such as: intraocular pressure measurement, refractive measurement, ultrasound, OCT scan, blood test, abdominal ultrasound, electrocardiogram...
In particular, the program supports free cataract surgery (Phaco) for 300 prescribed cases.
Cases requiring intensive treatment or services outside the list will be specifically consulted by the hospital, implemented according to current regulations and ensure health insurance benefits for employees.
Eye examination and consultation time is from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM daily. Eye examination at Saigon - Gia Lai International Eye Hospital (126 Wừu, Dien Hong ward); general health check-up at SYSMED Phu Dong General Clinic.
The program is implemented from April 28 to July 31, 2026, without limiting the number of union members participating; free surgery is provided for 300 cases.
The signing contributes practically to taking care of health, improving the quality of life for union members and workers, and at the same time strengthening coordination between trade union organizations and businesses in social security work in the area.
