150 union members and workers compete
On May 9, the Trade Union of Thong Nhat Ward held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the 2026 Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers (CNVC-LD) Sports Festival.
This is a practical activity in response to Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, contributing to creating a useful playground, improving health and strengthening the spirit of solidarity between agencies, units, and businesses in the area.
The sports festival attracted nearly 150 union members and workers to compete in 3 events including: tug-of-war, team rope jumping and men's and women's backpacking.
With a spirit of exciting and enthusiastic competition, the athletes brought many attractive and dramatic competitions, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere at the premises of Thong Nhat Ward People's Committee.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union, highly appreciated the solidarity and honesty of the athletes.
The sports festival is not only an opportunity for union members and workers to exchange and improve their spiritual lives, but also contributes to building a dynamic and cohesive working environment at grassroots units.
Building a healthy working environment
The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize overall to the grassroots Trade Union of Gia Lai Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company; the second prize belonged to the grassroots Trade Union of Hospital 331; and the third prize belonged to the grassroots Trade Union of Trung Kien Limited Liability Company and the grassroots Trade Union of Chu Pah District Medical Center.
In the competition events, the first prize in tug-of-war belonged to the grassroots Trade Union of Trung Kien Co., Ltd.; the first prize in team jumping was awarded to the grassroots Trade Union of Hospital 331.
The grassroots trade union of Gia Lai Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company won the First Prize in the relay sack jump event. The Organizing Committee also awarded many consolation prizes to units with outstanding achievements at the sports festival.
The sports festival closed in a joyful atmosphere, contributing to encouraging employees to continue to emulate in labor production, successfully complete professional tasks, and build agencies and units to become increasingly strong.
