The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031 with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development" took place from May 11 to 13 at the National Convention Center (Hanoi City), with more than 1,300 official delegates attending.

Workers hope for more support policies
Ms. Duong Thi My Phung - Deputy Training Manager of Maia Quy Nhon Sea Tourism Joint Stock Company - shared that besides income, many workers in the resort industry still face no small pressure from the specific characteristics of the service profession.

Working in shifts, including holidays, Tet or weekends, makes workers have less time for their families. At many important times, they cannot be with their loved ones, so sometimes they feel sad.
Not only that, many workers in the tourism - resort industry are also worried about career development opportunities when they are older. Because this industry requires health, appearance, adaptability and high work intensity, not everyone can pursue the profession for a long time.
Therefore, workers in this industry want to be trained, improve their skills or have a clear career path to continue to stick with the profession, even when they are no longer at their peak age.

Before the Congress, Ms. Phung hopes that the Vietnam Fatherland Front will have more practical policies and activities to support workers to stabilize their lives and feel secure in sticking with the profession for a long time.
She also proposed that there should be more policies to support housing, kindergartens, and tuition fees for children of workers and laborers to reduce the pressure of life and feel secure at work.
In the context of the service industry changing very rapidly, I hope there will be more free training classes on foreign languages, technology and management skills so that workers have more opportunities to develop themselves and stick with the tourism - resort industry for a long time," Ms. Phung expressed.
Farmers worry about output, planting area code
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan (born 1968, residing in Linh Nham village, Mang Yang commune) said that his family grows coffee and durian according to a combined model on an area of 3.5ha. Although the products are of good quality and beautiful appearance, his family as well as many farm households in the locality still face difficulties in finding stable outlets for agricultural products.
According to Mr. Tuan, currently durian purchasing units all require products to have a planting area code. Meanwhile, people have long been familiar with traditional production methods, so they are very confused in completing procedures for issuing planting area codes for products.

People hope to soon receive support and specific guidance on regulations on planting area codes so that products have a stable output," Mr. Tuan proposed.
Before the Congress, Mr. Tuan hoped that the Vietnam Fatherland Front would continue to pay attention to supporting farmers to develop production, stabilize agricultural output, limit the situation of bumper crops but price drops; tighten management of poor quality fertilizers and pesticides; invest in irrigation, electricity and transportation infrastructure to serve production...
