On December 30th, the grassroots trade union of Quang Thai Co., Ltd. (Lam Dong province) organized a support ceremony for union members and workers whose families were damaged by storms and floods.
Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Quang Thai Co., Ltd., Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lam said that this is the second support phase of the unit, and also an activity to celebrate the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.
The beneficiaries of support are union members and workers whose families were heavily damaged in the floods at the beginning of December. At the program, the trade union coordinated with the Board of Directors of the Company to provide support to 17 union members and workers, each portion worth 1 million VND.
There are union members and workers who are heavily affected by rain and floods, and need timely encouragement and sharing from the trade union and businesses to soon stabilize their lives," Ms. Lam shared.
After the natural disaster, the trade union reviewed affected cases to promptly visit and support. Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Nhi (from Hue City), a worker at Thai Bao Tea Group, emotionally expressed: "The Trade Union and the Board of Directors always care about the lives of workers. This meaningful gift helps us have more motivation to overcome difficulties.
Previously, the trade union and the Board of Directors of Quang Thai Co., Ltd. provided support to 11 workers in difficult circumstances, families with heavy losses, each person 2 million VND.
Thus, to date, the unit has supported 28 union members and workers to overcome the consequences of floods with a total amount of 39 million VND.
