On July 1st, Cam Duong Ward Trade Union organized the 4th Executive Committee Conference, term 2025-2030 to summarize the trade union work in the first 6 months of 2026 and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of the year.
Speaking at the opening, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cam Duong ward - said that the conference took place on the occasion of the first anniversary of the establishment of Cam Duong ward and towards the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.
According to Ms. Hue, although it has only been in operation for nearly a year, Cam Duong Ward Trade Union has gradually consolidated its organization, promoting the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the trade union organization has supported union members, workers and difficult cases with a total budget of more than 529 million VND, of which nearly 250 million VND was mobilized from socialized resources.
The ward trade union also newly established 7 grassroots trade unions with 179 union members, newly admitted 10 union members, exceeding 26% of the assigned target; introduced 15 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admitting, reaching 167% of the plan.
At the same time, supporting the construction of 2 Trade Union Solidarity Houses with a total budget of 110 million VND, reaching 200% of the target.
Many activities towards union members and workers are maintained effectively such as Tet Sum vay - Spring Sharing, the Green Banh Chung Wrapping Contest, the Trade Union Meal Program, the cross-country running race and the dialogue, listening, and gratitude conference for workers.
Notably, the athlete delegation of Cam Duong Ward Trade Union won the first overall prize at the Sports Tournament for workers, civil servants, and laborers in the Northern region of Lao Cai province in 2026, along with many individual prizes in the competition events.
According to the Chairman of Cam Duong Ward Trade Union, the above results show the solidarity, responsibility and spirit of innovation of the team of trade union officials, contributing to improving material and spiritual life, creating a bond between workers and trade union organizations.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing solutions to improve the effectiveness of caring for and protecting workers' rights; and at the same time proposed plans to arrange and streamline trade union organizations in the direction of effective and efficient operation.
Speaking to direct, Mr. Nguyen Thuan Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Cam Duong ward - acknowledged the outstanding results of the trade union organization in the first 6 months of the year, especially the work of propaganda and mobilization of union members to agree with the policy of arranging the organizational structure and merging administrative units.
Mr. Nguyen Thuan Hung requested that in the coming time, Cam Duong Ward Trade Union continue to innovate its operating methods, closely coordinate with levels and sectors to better care for the material and spiritual life of workers, and at the same time complete the targets for developing union members and building an increasingly strong trade union organization.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities were awarded certificates of merit and emulation flags.
In addition, Cam Duong Ward Trade Union also announced and awarded decisions to establish 5 new grassroots trade unions, continue to expand the network of trade union organizations in the area, create conditions to gather workers into the organization and improve the effectiveness of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members.
