Nam Dinh - Workers working at Amara Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. (Co Le town, Truc Ninh district) stopped collective work to demand a salary increase.

On the morning of March 7, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the People's Committee of Co Le town (Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province) confirmed: "Since this morning, many workers of Amara Vietnam Shoes Company Limited stationed in the town have stopped working collectively, demanding an increase in salary and shift allowance. Immediately after receiving the information, the locality went to the company to coordinate with the authorities to ensure order and resolve the incident".

Many workers working at this company hope to receive a salary increase for those who have worked as a senior for 5 years, increased meals and 30 minutes off if they work overtime until 7:30 p.m.

It is known that Amara Shoes Vietnam Co., Ltd. has more than 11,000 workers.

Informing the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the Labor Federation of Truc Ninh District said that on the morning of March 7, representatives of the Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor and the Truc Ninh District Federation of Labor were present at the company to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers. At the same time, coordinate with company leaders and local authorities to discuss with workers and propose solutions.
