On June 23, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation said that in the past time, trade union levels in the province have implemented many solutions to improve the effectiveness of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at enterprises.
In consulting and legal support work, trade union levels have provided legal advice to 166 turns of union members and workers on labor law, social insurance, Trade Union Law and related regimes and policies; of which 122 turns were consulted directly or by telephone.
Trade unions at all levels also promote the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations, guiding businesses to organize dialogues and collective bargaining. To date, the whole province has 483/590 enterprises signing collective labor agreements, reaching a rate of 82%; of which state-owned enterprises reached 100%, foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) reached 87% and non-state-owned enterprises reached 74.5%.
In order to improve the quality of trade union activities, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to evaluate the implementation of Resolution No. 01/ĐCT on collective labor agreements; and at the same time trained skills in negotiating and signing collective labor agreements and organized employee conferences for nearly 200 trade union officials.
Along with that, the supervision of the implementation of labor laws and occupational safety and health continues to be strengthened. The Provincial Labor Federation has coordinated to organize supervision at 10 enterprises. At the same time, working directly with enterprises and grassroots trade unions to grasp the situation of labor relations, participating in investigating 5 fatal labor accidents in the area.
Responding to the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, trade union levels have implemented many practical activities, including legal propaganda for 400 workers and support for 24 workers with occupational diseases with a total amount of 24 million VND.
Through consulting, dialogue, supervision and care activities for workers, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation continues to affirm its representative role, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations and promoting the sustainable development of enterprises.
