Diversifying propaganda work
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - said: in addition to care work, cultural, artistic, and sports activities organized by trade union levels have created a vibrant atmosphere in Workers' Month 2026.
It is noteworthy that the 2026 City Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Sports Festival is organized for the first time on a large scale, gathering 115 delegations participating with 2,444 athletes competing in football, badminton, table tennis, pickleball and tug of war.
In addition, trade union levels organized 132 cultural and artistic programs and 368 sports tournaments, attracting more than 20,700 union members and workers to participate.
Not only taking care of life, Workers' Month 2026 also focuses on improving professional skills and promoting the spirit of creative labor. The skill contest for good workers in the electronics industry with the participation of 116 contestants from 16 grassroots trade unions has become a useful playground for workers to exchange, learn, and improve their professional qualifications.
Propaganda work was also strongly implemented in many diverse forms. Trade union levels organized 457 direct propaganda sessions for more than 16,400 workers; published 551 news and articles in press agencies and more than 1,200 articles on social networks, attracting over 3.3 million accesses.
The content of propaganda focuses on the Trade Union Law, the Social Insurance Law, the Law on Occupational Safety and Health, policies related to workers and outstanding activities of Workers' Month.
In particular, the City Labor Federation organized the launch of the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income". This is a new emulation movement launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in the 2026-2030 term on the basis of inheriting the movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor" to suit the requirements of the new situation.
More than 500 union members and workers attended the launching ceremony at the Da Nang bridge point, showing their determination to respond to bring practical efficiency to the emulation movement.
Newly admitted 3,119 union members
According to Mr. Le Van Dai, one of the key contents in Workers' Month is the implementation of a peak period of union member development and organization building.
In May, Da Nang city trade union levels newly admitted 3,119 union members, established 49 grassroots trade unions, introduced 137 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and fostering; of which 8 union members were admitted to the Party.
In particular, at the Youth Union member development day held at Quoc Quang Music Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), 776 workers voluntarily joined the Trade Union organization, creating a prominent mark in the work of youth union member development in 2026.
It can be affirmed that the results achieved in Workers' Month 2026 have shown a strong innovation in the operating methods of the Da Nang City Trade Union organization" - Mr. Dai said.
According to Mr. Dai, the activities not only focus on caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers, but also create motivation for workers to promote the spirit of creativity, improve professional qualifications, and make positive contributions to the development of businesses and the city.
Thereby, continuing to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization as a reliable support, accompanying workers in all circumstances, contributing to building the working class and the Trade Union organization to become increasingly strong in the new era of development.
