On August 10, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), trade union levels have implemented many activities to listen, care for, and support union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation organizes activities "Month of listening to union members and workers speak", receiving opinions and recommendations from union members through the "Union Member Opinions" section on the application, website of Nghe An Trade Union, telephone lines and directly at the grassroots level. Forums "Listening to union members and workers speak" are organized at many grassroots trade unions.
At the programs, the Trade Union presented gifts, English reading markers to children of workers in difficult circumstances and organized "Trade Union Meals". Grassroots trade unions coordinated with businesses to organize dialogues, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers.
In the field of culture and sports, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board to organize the Traditional Sports Tournament of the Southeast Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Nghe An province in 2026, attracting 32 teams with 884 athletes participating in 3 sports. The Provincial Labor Culture House organized the "Raising Dreams" Summer Camp for 350 children of union members and workers and presented 100 sets of English reading markers to children of union members in difficult circumstances.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation supported the construction of 6 "Trade Union Solidarity Houses" with a total amount of 300 million VND; supported 1 ship owner who is a member of Son Hai Fisheries Union who suffered damage due to a ship fire with 5 million VND; supported 55 union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
The Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation has also completed the transfer of 514 million VND of support from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor through VNeID to 446 union members suffering from critical illnesses and occupational diseases in the program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress".
The activities contribute to strengthening the connection between the Trade Union organization and union members and workers, while promoting the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
