At the age of over 80, in addition to the support from the Artists' Nursing Center, Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien also actively creates additional income from YouTube.

Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien is one of the elderly artists in Ho Chi Minh City who does not have a pension.

Currently, Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien lives at the Artist Nursing Center - a place that cares for many elderly artists in difficult circumstances. Here, she is guaranteed accommodation, living and health care, and also receives monthly living support of about 2.65 million VND from the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association and socialized sources.

However, this support source only covers a part of living expenses. Therefore, the female artist still actively seeks additional income from the profession she has been attached to throughout her life.

One of the notable sources of income is the official YouTube channel of Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien. The channel currently attracts about 129,000 subscribers, reaching the YouTube Silver Button. The main content is excerpts from Cai Luong, audience interactions and sharing about everyday life.

Revenue from YouTube helps female artists have more funds to cover their lives, while preserving and spreading the values of Cai Luong art to young audiences.

It is known that this YouTube channel was created for her by NSND Bach Tuyet's team and participated in managing and posting videos...

Previously, besides operating on digital platforms, Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien still accepted to participate in performances when her health conditions permit. At the age of over 80, she no longer appears as frequently as before, but still participates in some art programs, gratitude nights or cai luong events.

The female artist once shared that she only accepts performances when she feels healthy enough. For her, standing on stage not only brings income but is also a way to maintain her love for the profession after many decades of dedication.

In addition to the above sources of income, Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien has also received support from colleagues, philanthropists and audiences many times in difficult times or when needing medical treatment.

Despite not having a pension, the life of Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien still shows the adaptive efforts of an elderly artist in the context of many new income-generating models appearing. From developing YouTube channels, continuing to perform while still healthy to the companionship of organizations and audiences, the female artist still persistently maintains the fire of the profession.

Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien was born in 1945 in Ca Mau. She was attached to the Cai Luong stage very early, at the age of 16 she sang for the Thong Nhat troupe of People's Artist Ut Tra On. In her golden age, she made her mark with hundreds of operas on stage, the roles of Bui Thi Xuan in the work Female General Co Dao and Trieu Thi Trinh in Nhuy Kieu General are two classic roles in her singing career.
