On June 23, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that in the first 6 months of 2026, trade union levels in the province will continue to effectively implement activities to care for the lives of union members and workers and social security work.
The whole province has supported and visited 21,519 turns of union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 11 billion VND; supported the construction and repair of 25 "Trade Union Shelter" houses with a budget of 1.05 billion VND.
During the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, trade union levels organized 135 "Tet Sum vay - Spring thanks to the Party" programs, attracting more than 20,200 union members and workers to participate; awarded more than 17,650 gifts with a total value of over 9.2 billion VND. The "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program helped more than 3,200 union members successfully receive goods, with a total benefit value of over 1.6 billion VND.
In Workers' Month 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize a launching ceremony with the participation of more than 500 union members and workers. The whole province has 523 grassroots trade unions responding to Workers' Month; 323 units and businesses organizing the "Thank you workers" program.
Trade union levels also advised to visit and give gifts to 200 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, and labor accidents with a total budget of 400 million VND; additional support for particularly difficult cases from the Provincial Labor Federation's Social Fund.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation implemented a program to examine and screen for cancer for more than 1,500 union members; organized "Trade Union Meals" at 95 grassroots trade unions, serving more than 17,000 union members and workers.
Social security work continues to be concerned with 540 union members participating in voluntary blood donation, receiving more than 500 units of blood; mobilizing union members to contribute to building the Provincial Labor Federation Social Fund in 2026.
According to the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, practical care activities have contributed to improving material and spiritual life, creating motivation for union members and workers to feel secure in their work and be attached to agencies, units and businesses.
