Temporarily banning and restricting vehicles on many roads in Hanoi from June 24-25

Hanoi - The temporary ban and restriction of vehicles on many roads on June 24 and 25 to serve the 13th National Youth Union Congress.

From June 24 to June 25, 2026, at the National Convention Center - No. 2 Thang Long Avenue (Tu Liem ward, Hanoi), the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026 - 2031, will take place.

To ensure traffic order and safety to serve the Congress, Hanoi City Police organize traffic diversion and organize directions for vehicles as follows:

Time to organize temporary ban, restriction of vehicles

From 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM; from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM; from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on days from June 24 to June 25, 2026.

Roads temporarily closed, vehicles restricted

Temporarily prohibited for trucks with a designed total weight of 1.5 tons or more, passenger cars of 16 seats or more (except for buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident handling vehicles, vehicles with protective badges, vehicles of the Police, Army and other priority vehicles according to the provisions of law) and restricted for other vehicles participating in traffic operating on some routes:

Kim Ma, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tran Duy Hung, Pham Hung (from Me Tri to Thang Long Avenue), Do Duc Duc, Mieu Dam, Ring Road III elevated (from Ho Tung Mau to Thanh Tri bridge and vice versa), Thang Long Avenue service road (from Pham Hung to Provincial Road 70 overpass).

During the above time, Hanoi City Police organize directions for vehicles to circle, avoid temporarily prohibited areas, and restrict vehicles as follows:

Vehicles from the Eastern provinces (Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh,... ) to the Northern, Western, Northwest provinces (Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang,... ) move along the route: Thanh Tri bridge - Hanoi expressway, Bac Giang - National Highway 18 - to Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen provinces,... and vice versa;

Vehicles from the Eastern provinces (Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh,... ) to the Western and Northwest provinces (Phu Tho, Son La, Dien Bien,... ) move along the route: Thanh Tri bridge - Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Cau Buou - Phuc La - Van Khe - Le Trong Tan - National Highway 6 - to Phu Tho, Son La provinces,... and vice versa;

Vehicles from Vo Van Kiet street, Thang Long bridge direction to Thang Long Avenue: follow the Pham Van Dong - Ho Tung Mau - Cau Dien - National Highway 32 - Provincial Road 70 route - go to Thang Long Avenue and vice versa.

Hanoi City Police requests all vehicles participating in traffic to be self-conscious and strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and according to the directions and traffic diversion of functional forces; when encountering vehicles with priority rights that are sending priority signals to perform tasks, they must urgently change direction to the nearest level crossings and intersections according to the directions of functional forces to give way to the priority vehicle convoy.

At the same time, Hanoi City Police requested the Department of Construction to base on the traffic diversion notice to direct functional units to adjust the routes of passenger bus routes, limiting operations on routes according to the content of the notice.
