On May 7, the Labor Federation of Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province held a launching ceremony for Workers' Month - Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2025; presented gifts of gratitude in May and honored outstanding union members and workers; presented funding to support the construction of union shelters for union members.
At the ceremony, Chairman of Tien Hai District Labor Federation Vu Thai Hoc said: During the 2025 Workers' Month, the District Labor Federation closely followed the theme of activities of the year. Trade unions at all levels in the district have carried out many practical activities such as promoting and improving legal knowledge for employees; negotiating with employers to sign collective labor agreements to bring better benefits to employees; coordinating with professionals and employees to organize health check-ups for thousands of employees; organizing visits and giving gifts to employees with occupational diseases and those in especially difficult circumstances with hundreds of millions of VND.
In addition, direct grassroots trade unions to promote propaganda about the Trade Union Law and the Charter of Vietnam Trade Unions to workers in enterprises to mobilize the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots trade unions.
Proactively advise, propose and coordinate with the Labor Union to organize activities to improve the spiritual life of employees such as organizing "Workers' Cultural and Sports Festival"; "Workers' Health Care Festival"; "Union Meal"; organize tour programs for employees.
Launch a patriotic emulation movement among union members, workers and civil servants, focusing on the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", the movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful - occupational safety and hygiene".
Well perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers. Trade unions at all levels coordinate with employers to organize training and guidance on safe working skills, skills to prevent occupational accidents and diseases and organize periodic health check-ups for workers...
At today's ceremony, the Tien Hai District Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit from the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee to 10 individuals; and awarded awards from the District Labor Federation to 50 outstanding workers in the "Good workers, creative workers" movement.
Along with that, 125 gifts were presented to union members in difficult circumstances and workers who had work-related accidents with an amount of nearly 100 million VND; and 2 union members with difficult housing circumstances were presented with funding to support the construction of warm houses with an amount of 100 million VND.
