Attending the announcement ceremony were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Dau Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Confederation of Labor; representatives of Thieu Hoa district leaders and workers of Alivia Vietnam Shoes Company Limited.
According to the Thieu Hoa District Labor Federation, implementing Plan No. 110/KH-LDLD dated June 3, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation on propaganda, mobilization, development of union members in the informal sector and establishment of grassroots unions, the unit has proactively advised party committees at all levels, coordinated with the authorities to develop plans, conduct surveys, grasp the production and business activities of enterprises, thereby implementing propaganda and mobilization steps.
The Trade Union of Alivia Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. was officially launched and put into operation, becoming the first trade union of a foreign-invested enterprise and the 128th grassroots unit of the Thieu Hoa District Labor Federation. The establishment of the company's trade union is an important milestone, opening a new chapter for the task of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade union organizations in the area.
At the ceremony, the Thieu Hoa District Labor Federation announced the decision to establish the Alivia Vietnam Shoe Company Limited Labor Union and admitted 478 union members. The provisional Executive Committee consists of 9 people, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Giang was appointed as provisional Chairman.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - highly appreciated the propaganda and mobilization work to develop union members of Thanh Hoa Trade Unions at all levels in general and Thieu Hoa District Trade Union in particular.
“The establishment of new grassroots trade unions and professional unions will gather more new union members into the union organization, thereby propagating and mobilizing union members to properly implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. At the same time, it will take care of and protect the legitimate rights and interests and support and share difficulties with union members and workers,” Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized.
On this occasion, representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Thanh Hoa Provincial Confederation of Labor, and Thieu Hoa District presented flowers to congratulate the Provisional Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Alivia Vietnam Shoe Company Limited and presented 30 gifts to union members and workers in difficulty.
According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, in the first 9 months of 2024, the province established 93 new grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions (achieving 93% of the target assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor Standing Committee), developing 19,519 union members.
