Attending the opening ceremony of the training course on professional theory of trade union work for officials of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Vientiane Capital, Vientiane Province and Luang Prabang Province were: Bun Nhu Xay Pan Nha - Counselor of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam; Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Hanoi Party Committee .
This is a training course for key officials of the Vientiane City Trade Union Federation, Vientiane Province and Luang Prabang Province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Quang Thanh - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor - said that with the long-standing tradition of close friendship between Laos and Vietnam, for many years, the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor and the Vientiane Capital Confederation of Labor have had a close, fraternal relationship. The two sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and every year, they take turns sending high-ranking delegations to visit and work, exchanging experiences in trade union work to improve the quality of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers ; contributing to the economic development, political and social stability of the two capitals in particular and the two countries of Vietnam and Laos in general.
In this training program, the class of 19 students who are key officials of the Vientiane City Trade Union Federation, Vientiane Province and Luang Prabang Province will study basic issues of Vietnam Trade Union; Labor Law, Trade Union Law ; nature, position, role, functions and tasks of Vietnam Trade Union; Trade Union working skills and practical experience of Hanoi City Labor Federation in implementing the functions and tasks of trade union organizations in the capital.
At the same time, the trainees discussed and exchanged operational experiences during field trips to some grassroots trade unions in Hanoi and some provincial and municipal labor federations such as Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nghe An...
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu affirmed that this activity is a vivid manifestation of the cooperation between the two Parties, two States and two Trade Union organizations. Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu also highly appreciated the efforts of the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor in coordinating with the Trade Union University to organize the class, including building a rich, suitable and scientific curriculum.
