Striker Thijs Ter Horst (Netherlands) has joined the People's Public Security men's team to participate in the 2025 International Police and Police Volleyball Tournament held at the Sports Stadium of Military Defense Sports Stadium II, Military Region 7 (Ho Chi Minh City) from August 24 to 30.
The six teams participating in the tournament include the People's Public Security (mainly the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's team), the Army (The Cong Tan Cang), Hanoi and the Lao Ministry of Public Security team, the Cambodian Ministry of Home Affairs team (Visakha), the Indonesian Police team (Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi Club).
Coach Duong Tan Vinh (People's Public Security) and his students have been practicing thoroughly in the past time to prepare for the tournament.
The People's Public Security squad has many key hitters such as Lam Van Sanh, Duong Van Tien, Quan Trong Nghia, Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, Che Quoc Lo Vit, Pham Quoc Du. These are the national players of the Vietnam Men's Volleyball Team.
Thijs Ter Horst is the only foreign player of the team participating in the tournament. The presence of this blatant player over 2m05 in height shows that the People's Public Security men's team is determined to win this year's championship.
In the first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's team ranked first. Playing at the above time, coach Duong Tan Vinh has two quality foreign players, Michał Kubiak (Poland) and Julio Cesar Cardenas (Cuba).
