The City People's Committee directs relevant agencies, units, and localities to deploy information and propaganda activities and organize activities to respond to the 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2026.
Within the framework of the plan, the city organizes many rich and practical activities such as: Book storytelling contest with the theme "Reading books today - Proud of the heroic port land, spreading the culture of the East"; launching and awarding prizes for the 2026 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest with the theme "Books and dreams reaching far"; Children's painting contest according to books and newspapers with the theme "I love Hai Phong - City of Gathering and Shining"; talk show and exchange with television viewers on the theme "Books and knowledge - driving force for development in the era of rich, strong and prosperous development of the nation".
In addition, Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day is widely organized throughout the system of educational and training institutions; library and cultural house system; publishing, printing and distribution establishments; in localities, units and mass organizations; and at the same time strengthen international exchange activities on books and reading culture.
The main activities are organized in a focused manner from April 15 to May 15; response activities are implemented throughout 2026 in the city.
