According to the organizers, in 2026, the tournament will take place for 3 days, from May 8th to May 10th. In the first two days, the Expo area and race-kit distribution area will be open to serve athletes, accompanied by many experiential activities and booths from sponsors and partners, creating a lively atmosphere before the competition. The official competition day starts from 3 am on May 10th.
At the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Van Anh - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said that this year's tournament continues to affirm its attractiveness when attracting more than 10,000 registered people, an increase of 1,000 athletes compared to the first season.
The race includes 4 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km, suitable for many groups of athletes from amateur to professional.
In addition to adult events, the race continues to organize running activities for children. Kun Marathon for children aged 6 to 10 will take place on the morning of May 9th at Song Hau Park, with a distance of about 700 m and completely free.
Not only is it a sports event, VnExpress Marathon Can Tho 2026 also contributes to promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly and culturally rich Can Tho to domestic and foreign tourists. The event is expected to continue to promote tourism, services and sports movements in the Mekong Delta region.
