On August 12 in Ho Chi Minh City, Kamito organized the event "Kamito RX1 - Play Beyond Your Level", with the participation of athletes, artists, players and representatives of the pickleball community. In addition to the new product introduction activity, the program has exchange and competition content for guests.
The event takes place at a time when pickleball is developing rapidly in Vietnam. Not only attracting a large number of amateur players, this sport is gradually forming a tournament system and has important milestones in organization.
Notably, pickleball is for the first time included in the program of the 10th National Sports Games in 2026. The competition contents include men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. This is considered a notable step forward, showing that pickleball is gradually gaining a clearer position in Vietnam's achievement sports system.
Along with that, the Vietnam Pickleball Federation was established for term I (2026-2031), opening up a basis for building a more methodical management, competition and training system.
Over the past time, many pickleball tournaments have been organized nationwide, attracting a large number of athletes at many levels. Some tournaments have also expanded the participation of players from the Asian region, thereby creating more opportunities for domestic players to rub shoulders.
In the event on August 12, three ambassadors Minh "Tít", Rob Stirling and Robert Huy participated in community exchange activities. The pickleball tournament for guests was also organized to create a competition space and connect players.
From a professional perspective, the entry of pickleball into the official competition system sets higher requirements for the organization of tournaments, referees, training and training of young athletes. These are also decisive factors in the ability to transform the foundation of the movement into stable competition achievements.
The milestone at the 2026 National Sports Games will therefore be an opportunity for Vietnamese pickleball to assess the actual professional quality, and at the same time create a premise for the long-term development of this sport.
