On the morning of May 8, on the 3rd floor of the Vietnam Journalists Association building (Cau Giay ward, Hanoi City), Nha bao va Cong luan Newspaper organized a technical meeting and draw for the pairings of the 5th Nha bao va Cong luan Football Cup in 2026.
The event is part of a series of activities towards the 101st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026); National Press Festival 2026 and the 30th anniversary of the first issue of Nha bao va Cong luan Newspaper (July 10, 1996 - July 10, 2026).
After four successful seasons of organization, the Journalist and Public Opinion Cup is not just a sports playground, but has become a familiar rendezvous for journalists across the country.

Through each season, the scale of the tournament has expanded, the number of teams has increased, and the professional quality has been clearly improved.
Matches are not only amateur but also show systematic investment, clear tactics, and professional fighting spirit.
Entering the V season, the tournament continues to gather 16 teams from press agencies, units, and businesses including: Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, VOV, VTV, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, Lao Dong Newspaper, Vietnam Law Newspaper, Dan Tri Newspaper, VnExpress Newspaper, NTNN/Dan Viet Newspaper, Agriculture and Environment Newspaper, Hanoi Radio and Television Newspaper, Life and Law Magazine, Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group, Nam Dinh Bridge and Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company and Nha bao va Cong luan Newspaper.
The teams will compete according to 7-a-side football rules.
After the exchange and information about the tournament, the Organizing Committee proceeded to draw lots for the 5th Journalist and Public Opinion Cup Football Tournament in 2026.

According to the plan, the 5th Journalist and Public Opinion Cup Football Tournament in 2026 will officially take place on May 16-17, 2026 at Viettel Football Stadium under Viettel Sports Co., Ltd. (Yen Xuan commune, Hanoi City).
Also at this tournament held in 2025, the Lao Dong Newspaper team won the runner-up position, after losing to the Nhan Dan Newspaper team in the final on penalties.
