FPT Edu Tich Tich Tinh Tang is a traditional musical instrument performance competition organized by FPT Edu Da Nang for students. Through this, many students have the opportunity to show their talents in playing musical instruments, feeling music, and performing music .
FPT Edu includes traditional musical instruments in the official curriculum for university students, encouraging students to learn and experience traditional music through many other activities.
Most recently, 1,350 students and lecturers participated in the performance, setting a Vietnamese record for "Traditional musical instrument concert music video with the largest number of performers" in September 2023.
Along with the FPT Edu Tich Tich Tinh Tang contest, through these experiences, FPT Edu hopes to contribute to bringing traditional music and instruments closer to young people, contributing to spreading, preserving and developing national culture.
Many traditional Vietnamese music genres were chosen by FPT Edu students to perform. Northern folk songs, hat van, and ancient cheo were performed in the form of solos and ensembles with excerpts or famous songs, clearly showing the characteristics and spirit of the above genres.
Hue royal court music, reformed opera, amateur music, vọng cổ, and Southern folk songs were also brought to the FPT Edu Tich Tich Tinh Tang final by FPT Edu students with elaborate performances, carrying traditional tones through the fresh expressions of young people.
Based on the combination of music theory knowledge, musical appreciation, understanding of culture in general and folk music in particular, along with the desire to bring traditional melodies closer to young people, Edu Tich Tich Tinh Tang brings musical experiences that are deeply national but still modern and new to the audience.
