Vietnamese students have the opportunity to compete in Mathematics in Japan

The 2025 Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) has been officially launched for high school students nationwide.

This is a prestigious, international-scale academic playground, organized to seek, encourage and develop Mathematical thinking for the young generation of Vietnam in the era of integration. At the same time, it contributes to inspiring the learning of modern Mathematics, promoting students to apply Mathematics in fields such as programming, data, artificial intelligence and future science.

High school students from grades 2 to 12 studying at schools nationwide, who love Mathematics and want to try their hand in an international academic environment, using English as their main language can register to participate.

AIMO 2025 organized by Hoa Hoc Tro Newspaper (under Tien Phong Newspaper) in collaboration with Tien Phong Joint Stock Company will take place with 2 domestic rounds to select candidates to participate in international competitions:

Online round: Online round on June 22. The National Offline Final Round is scheduled to be held on July 6 in Hanoi. Students do paperwork, in the form of an Olympic competition.

The International Final Round takes place from August 2-6 in Tokyo, Japan. The Vietnam team consists of the Top 5 players in each group trained before participating in the competition.

The entire exam is in English, with a total score of 100 and 3 parts (A, B, C). The test time is 60-90 minutes depending on the level of education. The exam results are publicly announced, the certificates and medals are issued according to international standards.

Organized since 2012 by the Asian Mathematical Commission based in Hong Kong (China), AIMO is one of the prestigious and largest international English-language Math competitions in the region. With more than 20 participating countries and territories such as China, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Iran, India... AIMO has quickly become a place to affirm the thinking and foreign language skills of hundreds of thousands of students each year.

Vietnam has participated in AIMO since 2019 and quickly affirmed its position with hundreds of medals. According to statistics, Vietnamese students have won more than 200 international medals in AIMO.
