Recently, Fairmont International School Vietnam (Fairmont International School Vietnam – FISV) officially launched in Hanoi, starting operations from the 2026–2027 school year, providing international education programs from preschool to high school according to US standards.
Speaking at the launch ceremony of FISV, Mr. Hoang Duc Minh, Director of the Department of Students (Ministry of Education and Training) acknowledged the contributions of International Schools Partnership to the development of education in Vietnam and highly appreciated the educational orientation chosen by FISV.
According to Mr. Hoang Duc Minh, in the context of education increasingly associated with international integration, equipping students not only with knowledge but also with foreign language skills, life skills, digital skills, cooperative skills and critical thinking are important factors for the young generation to adapt to diverse learning and working environments, and at the same time become global citizens.
He also expects FISV to pay practical attention to career guidance right from high school years, helping students recognize their interests and strengths early, thereby having a basis for choosing a suitable path of study and career in the future.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper on the sidelines of the event, Mr. Hoang Duc Minh said that in the international education environment, Vietnamese students have the opportunity to exchange and interact with international culture, while international students also have the opportunity to study and learn about Vietnamese culture. These students can become "ambassadors" in the future, contributing to connecting Vietnam with countries around the world.
Not only stopping at learning, the international education environment also creates conditions for students to experience, train and comprehensively develop their abilities. According to Mr. Minh, the values, visions and missions that schools aim for will contribute to the personalization of education, helping students develop based on their own foundations and abilities.

Assessing the opportunities that the international education environment brings to students today, Mr. Hoang Duc Minh said that students have conditions to develop many abilities, from knowledge, foreign languages to cooperation, responsibility and adaptation to change.
However, Mr. Hoang Duc Minh also emphasized the necessity of harmoniously developing international education standards and Vietnam's good values, thereby creating a foundation for students to both have the ability to integrate and maintain their identity and the positive values of the community where they grow up.
According to Mr. Allen Mclnnis - Principal of Fairmont International School Vietnam, the launch of Fairmont International School Vietnam opens a new stage in the school's development: from educational orientation, academic programs to student experiences.
“We continue to build on the foundations that the school has dedicated to building throughout the past journey, and at the same time confidently look towards the future. Our aspiration is very clear: to build an excellent educational environment in Vietnam, a place to prepare the young generation to be ready to seize opportunities in an increasingly connected world,” said Mr. Allen Mclnnis.
