On June 3, Cuu Long University held the opening ceremony of the National Defense and Security Education training course for regular university students of course 26. In 2026, there are 2,762 students participating in the program, arranged into 5 consecutive training sessions.
The first phase alone has 531 students participating. The training time takes place from June 1 to August 8. The program is implemented according to the provisions of Circular No. 05/2020/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training on National Defense and Security Education.
According to the plan, students will study 4 modules including the national defense and security guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam; national defense and security work; general military affairs; infantry combat techniques and tactics. These are the foundational contents for university students.
In addition to studying in class, students also visit the Cai Ngang Revolutionary Historical Relic Site and the Memorial Area of Professor, Academician, Major General, Labor Hero Tran Dai Nghia. The activity contributes to educating revolutionary traditions, patriotism and civic responsibility.
According to the school, the training course not only equips students with knowledge of National Defense and Security Education but also creates conditions for students to experience the military environment, cultivate discipline, team spirit and raise awareness of responsibility in the cause of national defense.
