Connecting businesses - schools to train tourism students

Nghe An - The event is an important milestone opening a new direction in training associated with practical needs and job opportunities for tourism students.

On April 18, Nghe An College of Economics and Technology No. 1 coordinated with businesses operating in the tourism sector to organize a conference "Connecting schools and businesses in training and solving jobs for students in the tourism industry".

At the conference, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province - Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department and Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hong - Head of Tourism Management Department attended and shared orientations on human resource development in the tourism industry in the new period.

On the business side, the conference acknowledged the presence and participation in signing cooperation agreements of many typical units such as: Nghe An Hotel, Vinpearl Cua Hoi, Ho Chi Minh City MIRAI Joint Stock Company, Huu Nghi Joint Stock Company, Sunflower One Member Co., Ltd. ... Representatives of the businesses shared many enthusiastic opinions on coordinating training, accepting interns and recruiting after graduation.

In his opening speech, Mr. Ngo Sy Thanh Tung - Vice Principal of the school - affirmed: "Cooperation between schools and businesses is a fundamental solution to shorten the gap between training and practice, helping students soon access a professional working environment and improve competitiveness".

Also at the conference, businesses signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation with schools, focusing on contents such as: building practical training programs, organizing internships at businesses, coordinating the recruitment of graduates, expanding domestic and foreign job opportunities.

In particular, many students directly asked business representatives about career opportunities, recruitment criteria and working environment - showing proactiveness and concern for their career future.

At the end of the conference, the parties agreed to continue maintaining a regular coordination mechanism, periodically summarizing and expanding cooperation with other tourism businesses inside and outside the province.
