Potential to develop tourism thanks to green
Tourism is not only an important economic sector to GDP growth, job creation and cultural exchange but also an integral part of the national sustainable development strategy. However, in the context of the world facing unprecedented challenges such as climate change, decline in biodiversity, environmental pollution and exhausted resources, the tourism industry is also forced to transform itself strongly.
Prof. Dr. People's Teachers Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Institute of Tourism Economic - Evaluation and Green Conversion is not only a trend but also an opportunity to release Vietnam's tourism. According to him, environmental protection will play an important role to promote tourism, help businesses enhance competitiveness and bring a more positive experience for visitors.
According to Mr. Vu Quoc Tri - General Secretary of Vietnam Tourism Association, businesses have initially had pilot to minimize the impact on the environment, including the control of plastic waste. "We have the criteria for tourism businesses to accompany in limiting plastic, while raising the awareness of people and tourists. In recent years, many tourist destinations such as Trang An, Tam Coc Bich Dong, Hoi An ... have reduced about 30% of the volume of plastic waste in 6 months," Mr. Vu Quoc Tri said.

Need green together, to sustainable together
Talking to labor, Mr. Vu Quoc Tri - General Secretary of Vietnam Tourism Association - said that there are still many challenges to hinder the green transformation in tourism development. Currently, there are still many small and medium -sized businesses, meeting relatively many financial difficulties when making conversion, which is also difficult to survive in a competitive environment. Resources for technical knowledge development are limited.
"The appropriate policy mechanism is what most tourism businesses want. It is necessary to have support and management on a destination to create fairness, avoiding the case of a business effort to convert will be backward compared to an unchanged enterprise. If we can solve these problems, we can proceed to make a mark with Vietnam green tourist map," Mr. Vu Quoc Tri emphasized.
As for Mr. Phung Quang Thang (Chairman of Vietnam Green Tourism Association), in addition to giving green criteria for local businesses to access, there is also a suitable training for each situation. The application of technology to green conversion is an inevitable trend that localities and businesses need to keep in mind.
Also according to Mr. Thang, it is necessary to develop community tourism and circulating economy, which supports local people to prioritize organic products and foods, raise awareness and tourism responsibility towards sustainable tourist tourist education; Encourage tourists to participate in nature protection activities.
Emphasizing the unanimity to develop green tourism, Mr. Pham Ha - Luxgroup President emphasized: "From the local authorities, to businesses, they need to be aware of the green and sustainable work together.
