HCMC - The Department of Education and Training of Cu Chi district requires the school not to mobilize funds for the parent-teacher association.

The Department of Education and Training (DOET) of Cu Chi district has just issued a document on the implementation of the funding source of the parent-teacher association.

Accordingly, to ensure the implementation of the funding source of the Parents' Representative Board in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 55, ensuring the collection and use for the right purposes, the Department of Education and Training of Cu Chi district requests the principals of schools in the district to strictly implement the contents related to the organization and operation of the Parents' Representative Board in accordance with the spirit of Circular No. 55.

Regarding the implementation of collection and creation of operating funds for the Parents' Association, the Department of Education and Training of Cu Chi district said that the funding for the Parents' Association is entirely mobilized by the Parents' Association on a voluntary basis, without equalization, without setting standards, and without the influence or control of the school.

This funding source is managed by the Parents' Association, which decides on the form and level of spending in coordination with the school to carry out educational activities.

Every year, the heads of the parent representative boards of each class will meet with the school to listen to the school report on the school's educational activities in the past time. Discuss issues in the meeting to orient the general direction in organizing the activities of the school parent representative board, the class parent representative board, and elect the school parent representative board to organize the implementation of the agreed contents.

The Department of Education and Training of Cu Chi district emphasized that the school does not campaign, does not allow homeroom teachers to campaign, does not collect or keep on behalf of students; does not propose that the Parents' Association allocate funds from the association to pay for school activities.
